Deleting your account

How to delete your Mirimi account and the data stored with it.

In the app

• If you subscribe to Pro, cancel it first in Google Play → Subscriptions. Deleting your account doesn't cancel your Google Play subscription.
• Open the app and tap the Me tab at the bottom.
• Tap the gear icon (Settings) at the top right.
• Tap Delete account at the bottom, then confirm once in the dialog.
• The account is deleted at once and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.

If you cannot open the app

• If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, write to support@iterialab.com.
• Writing from the e-mail address you signed up with makes verification faster. We delete the account after verifying it is yours, and reply to confirm.

What is deleted

• Your account and profile (e-mail, name, language, time zone)
• The text extracted from your materials and every question generated from them
• Your study history, review schedule, level estimates and wrong-answer records
• Notification settings, question reports and generation logs
• Plan and entitlement records, and consent records
• Reward enrolment, daily totals, the point ledger and settlement records (remaining points are lost and are not compensated)

What is kept

• Usage analytics and billing notification records are kept with the user identifier removed, for statistics and reconciliation only. What remains cannot identify you.
• Payment and subscription records are kept even after you delete your account, as required by Korea's E-Commerce Act: records of contracts, withdrawals, payments and supply for 5 years, and records of consumer complaints and disputes for 3 years. After you delete your account we cut the link to it and keep them only for this purpose. Before billing opens there are no such records.
• The free-trial record (an irreversible hash of your sign-up e-mail and the date you got the trial) is kept for one year after account deletion, so the trial is given only once per person, and then deleted.

When it happens

• Deletion from the app is immediate. There is no waiting period.
• Copies inside backups disappear as the backup cycle rolls over.
